Code of Ethics

In June 2008 Snam Rete Gas adopted its Code of Ethics, which clearly defines the values and responsibilities that the company recognises, accepts, shares and assumes both internally and externally.
 
The Code comprises the Eni Code of Ethics and a specific “addendum” that outlines the characteristics specific to Snam Rete Gas as a listed company that is subject to regulation by the Authority for Electricity and Gas. The “addendum” therefore places special importance on the relations between Snam Rete Gas and its shareholders and the market, the Authority for Electricity and Gas, its customers, the community and the region.
 
The Code stipulates that all activities must be carried out in compliance with the law and within a framework of fair competition with honesty, integrity, correctness and good faith, in observance of the legitimate interests of customers, employees, shareholders, business and financial partners and the community in which the company operates. All the staff employed at Snam Rete Gas, without distinction or exception, carry out their actions and conduct themselves according to the principles and contents of the Code with regard to their functions and responsibilities, in acknowledgment of the fact that observance of the Code constitutes an essential part of the quality of their work and professional performance.

The Supervisory Department has been appointed as the Guarantor of the Ethics Code. This department may be presented with:

  • Requests for clarifications or interpretations of the contents of the Code;
  • Suggestions on the application of the Code;
  • Notifications of violations of the Code, whether anonymously or by name,
